Sofwave™ is an advanced, FDA-cleared ultrasound treatment designed to lift, firm, and smooth the skin without downtime. The treatment experience
During the procedure, a cooling ultrasound gel is applied before the handheld device delivers precise ultrasound energy to the mid-dermis. You may feel a warmth or tingling sensation, but most clients find the treatment very tolerable thanks to Sofwave’s built-in integrated cooling system that protects the skin’s surface. Over the following weeks, Sofwave stimulates your skin to produce new collagen and elastin, meaning results continue to improve for up to 12 weeks after treatment.

Immediately After

How Long Do Results Last?

Before Treatment
Avoid sunburn or tanning for 2 weeks.
Stop using strong skincare like retinol or acids 3–5 days before.
After Treatment
You can go back to normal life straight away.
Skin may look a little pink or feel warm for a few hours.
Avoid hot saunas, steam rooms, or intense exercise for 24 hours.
Skip strong skincare (retinol, scrubs, peels) for 3–5 days.

Less common side effects may include:
- Slight skin sensitivity or tingling for 1–2 days.
- Rarely, small areas of bruising or numbness that resolve on their own.
Sofwave does not damage the skin surface and is suitable for all skin types. Your nurse will discuss your medical history and any potential risks with you before treatment.
Most clients achieve noticeable results with just one Sofwave treatment. The ultrasound energy stimulates collagen and elastin production deep within the skin, so improvements continue to appear gradually over 4–12 weeks after your session.
For some clients, especially those with more advanced skin laxity or deeper wrinkles, a second treatment may be recommended after 6–12 months to further enhance results.
To maintain your lift and keep collagen levels strong, we generally suggest one Sofwave session per year as part of your long-term skin health routine.
Sofwave is designed to be a comfortable, non-invasive treatment. Most clients describe the feeling as a warmth or tingling sensation as the ultrasound energy penetrates the skin.
Thanks to Sofwave’s integrated cooling technology, the skin’s surface is kept protected and comfortable throughout the session. While sensitivity levels vary, discomfort is generally minimal and short-lived, making Sofwave very well-tolerated.
If you’re concerned about sensitivity, your nurse can apply a topical numbing cream before treatment to make the experience even more comfortable.
