SkinPen + NCTF Boost pairs SkinPen microneedling with NCTF Boost 135 HA in one appointment. After needling, NCTF Boost is applied to the skin’s surface. It’s a hyaluronic acid solution with a blend of vitamins, amino acids and antioxidants, used to support hydration as the skin recovers.
Your session begins with a thorough double cleanse. Your nurse then moves the SkinPen hand-piece across the face, gently stamping the skin to create controlled micro-channels, and this part of the treatment takes around 30 minutes. This is designed to stimulate the skin’s natural repair response. After needling, NCTF Boost is massaged gently into the skin’s surface. Redness is normal and usually settles within 24–48 hours. The appointment takes 60 minutes in total.
You may notice redness, tingling and a warm sensation similar to mild sunburn. This generally settles within 24–48 hours. Some dryness or light flaking may follow for a few days.
Common side effects include redness, swelling, tightness, flaking and sensitivity. Less commonly, bruising, breakouts, infection, or pigmentation changes (darkening or lightening of the skin) can occur. The risk of pigmentation changes may be higher in darker skin tones. Your nurse will assess your suitability at consultation.
A course of 3treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart is generally recommended. The exact plan depends on your skin type and concern, and your nurse will create a custom plan at your consultation.
You'll feel a slightly scratchy sensation during needling. Most clients rate it around 3/10, depending on individual sensitivity. NCTF Boost is applied gently afterwards.
Results vary from person to person and cannot be guaranteed. Changes to tone and texture develop gradually over a course of treatments as the skin renews. We recommend an in-depth consultation with one of our registered nurses. They will explain how the treatment works, whether it suits your skin, and what to realistically expect.
