Decongesting
Retexturing
Take your micro-needling session to the next level with this treatment combination. HydraNeedling pairs HydraFacial's medical-grade resurfacing with SkinPen collagen induction therapy in a single appointment. Clearing congestion, refining pores, stimulating new collagen and replenishing skin hydration.
Your session starts with a through double cleanse, followed with a full HydraFacial — a deep cleanse and exfoliation using salicylic and glycolic acid, followed by gentle extractions to clear the pores and prepare the skin surface.
Then the nurse moves the SkinPen hand-piece around the face, gently stamping the skin to stimulate cell production and skin repair. Unlike other micro-needling treatments, SkinPen does not promote bleeding. Redness is normal, indicating a good result and will subside quickly. The procedure takes 90 minutes in total.
You may notice redness, tingling and a sensation of heat similar to mild sunburn from the needling stage — this generally settles within 24–48 hours. Changes to tone and texture typically become noticeable within a week, with further improvement in pigmentation, pores and scarring possible across your course of treatments.
HydraNeedling brings together two established technologies. The HydraFacial stage uses a patented suction handpiece to cleanse, exfoliate and extract congestion, preparing the skin surface.
SkinPen — the world's first FDA-cleared microneedling device — then creates controlled micro-channels that trigger the body's natural wound-healing response, a process known as collagen induction therapy. The session concludes with an infusion of hyaluronic acid, peptides and antioxidants. SkinPen is the only needling device recognised by the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods and is administered only by our doctors and registered nurses.
Risks are minimal when the treatment is performed by trained medical professionals. On rare occasions, infection or bruising can occur from the needling stage. As with a standalone HydraFacial, this treatment is not suitable for anyone with a known shellfish allergy.
For the collagen-induction component, a course of 3 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart is generally recommended, with the exact plan depending on your skin type and concern. Because each session includes a full HydraFacial, you'll also benefit from ongoing pore-clearing and hydration throughout your course. A custom treatment plan will be discussed at your consultation.
The HydraFacial stages are generally comfortable, with clients reporting a mild tingling or suction sensation.
You will notice a slightly scratchy feeling on your skin with the SkinPen treatment. We would rate the pain of SkinPen at around 3/10, depending on individual sensitivity.
Results vary from person to person and cannot be guaranteed. We recommend an in-depth consultation with one of our registered nurses, who will explain how the treatment works, whether it suits your skin type, and realistic expected outcomes in line with your goals.
