Registered Nurses

45 mins

Lip shape, balance and definition are common concerns we discuss at The Clinic. Our registered nurses take a total-face approach, with treatment options personalised and tailored after a medical consultation — always with the goal of results that look natural and in proportion with your features.

New TGA Guidelines

In line with the latest TGA guidelines, we are unable to display specific cosmetic treatments. However, our full range of treatments remains available. To explore your options, we recommend booking a consultation with our experienced nurses. During your appointment, we can discuss all of the options available and suitable to you to create a personalised treatment plan tailored to your unique skin concerns.

Best for

  • Concerns about lip symmetry or balance
  • Concerns about lip definition or border
  • Concerns about lip volume or vertical lip lines
  • Anyone wanting a total-face assessment before deciding on treatment

Individual results vary. Suitability, expected outcomes and risks are discussed in your consultation.

Pre and post care

What can I expect after my treatment?

Much of the difference you see after your lip enhancement will be due to mild swelling; the real results become evident after 3-5 days.

What precautions should I take pre and post?

There is no downtime required for a lip enhancement and you can resume normal activities immediately. However you should avoid the following for 24 hours:

  • Strenuous exercise
  • Consumption of alcohol

It is also recommended to avoid the following for two weeks:

  • Extended exposure to sun or uv light
  • Extended exposure to heat or freezing temperatures

Exposure to any of the above may cause temporary redness, swelling, and/or itching. If you have swelling, you can apply an ice pack for a brief period to help with discomfort.

We always recommend the use of sunscreen to prevent sun damage to the skin. Sunscreen with SPF 30 or above should be used daily. If you are under the sun for prolonged periods of time, sunscreen needs to be reapplied at least once every two hours.

Common questions

What are the benefits?

Suitability and expected outcomes depend on your individual features, which is why we begin with a consultation. Our registered nurses will assess your lips in proportion with your face, discuss your concerns — whether that's symmetry, definition, or vertical lip lines — and explain what you can realistically expect. Individual results vary.

What are the risks?

All cosmetic treatments carry potential risks, which can vary based on individual factors such as skin type, medical history, and treatment areas. During your consultation, our experienced nurses will conduct a thorough assessment to determine the most suitable approach for you. They will explain the possible risks, expected downtime, and aftercare requirements, ensuring you have all the information needed to make an informed decision. Your safety and satisfaction are our top priorities, and we are committed to delivering natural-looking, balanced results with the highest standard of care.

Disclaimer

Please know that results vary and we cannot make guarantees. We recommend coming and speaking to our registered nurses for an in-depth consultation.
