Step 1: Prodigy Prep
The skin is first cleansed and degreased using an alcohol-based preparation solution containing witch hazel extract. This removes excess oil and helps prepare the skin for deeper, more even penetration of the peel solution.
Step 2: Prodigy Peel
The Prodigy Peel solution is then applied to the skin. This advanced multi-acid blend combines:
Working together, these ingredients exfoliate, refine texture, brighten pigmentation, target congestion, and stimulate skin renewal.
Step 3: Prodigy Boost
To finish the treatment, an advanced booster containing Retinol, Hexylresorcinol, and Capryloyl Salicylic Acid is applied. This enhances the effectiveness of the peel while supporting longer-lasting rejuvenation, improved clarity, and smoother skin texture.
The Prodigy Peel System 2 is performed in three progressive steps to optimise skin rejuvenation and ingredient penetration. Mild peeling and flaking may occur in the days following treatment as the skin renews itself, revealing a brighter and smoother complexion underneath.
For best results, a course of treatments may be recommended depending on your skin concerns and goals.
Pre-Treatment: Your skin must be prepped with one of our Vitamin A serums in the weeks prior to having this peel. It's reccomended to stop any retinoids, exfoliating acids or other active skincare products for a week prior.
Post-Treatment: There is no downtime required for this peel and you can resume normal activities immediately. However you should avoid strenuous exercise and/or swimming for 24 hours. Patients should follow a gentle skincare routine. Avoid exfoliating products, retinoids, and active ingredients for at least a week.
We always recommend the use of sunscreen to prevent sun damage to the skin. Sunscreen with SPF 30 or above should be used daily. If you are under the sun for prolonged periods of time, sunscreen needs to be reapplied at least once every two hours.
Salicylic Acid
A beta hydroxy acid (BHA) that penetrates deep into the pores to exfoliate the skin, reduce inflammation, and treat acne. It helps to clear clogged pores, making it an effective ingredient for oily and acne-prone skin.
Lactic Acid
An alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) derived from milk, lactic acid gently exfoliates the skin’s surface, promoting cell turnover and improving skin texture. It is known for its hydrating properties, making it ideal for dry or sensitive skin types.
Resorcinol
A powerful exfoliant and antiseptic that helps to break down rough, thickened skin while reducing pigmentation and acne. Resorcinol enhances the peel’s ability to address hyperpigmentation and improve overall skin tone.
Kojic Acid
A naturally occurring acid derived from fungi, kojic acid inhibits melanin production, making it effective in lightening dark spots and improving overall skin brightness.
Citric Acid
An AHA that assists in exfoliation and brightening the skin. Citric acid also has antioxidant properties that protect the skin from environmental damage.
While the Prodigy Peel is safe for most skin types, it is always best to consult with a skincare professional to determine if this treatment is right for your skin.
Individuals with active cold sores, severe eczema, or very sensitive skin may need to avoid this peel. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their healthcare provider before undergoing the treatment.
Your skin will be noticeably brighter, your complexion smoother and fine lines reduced after a single treatment. Best results come from 3 treatments, 4-6 weeks apart.
You may experience a tingling or tightening sensation in the skin, but no pain.
Whilst we have seen amazing results from this treatment, please know that results vary and we cannot make guarantees. We recommend coming and speaking to our registered nurses for an in-depth consultation. They will discuss in detail how the treatment works, whether it will be right for your skin type and the expected results in line with your skin goals.
