Ultraformer is a non- invasive ultrasound device that is used to lift and tighten your skin with no downtime. How does Ultraformer Skin Tightening work?  

High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) transducers deliver concentrated waves of ultrasound into multiple layers of skin and body tissues without making direct contact with surrounding areas or damaging the surface. Transferring stabilized temperatures of 65-75°C into the targeted zones, the Ultraformer induces a process of neocollagenesis. (Neocollagenesis occurs in the human body as a natural form of wound re- pair. The formation of new collagen in scars results from an inflammatory response. This inflammation produces increased collagen. 

Collagen renewal in the face triggered by HIFU involves heating the dermal and superficial muscular aponeurotic system (SMAS) layers that undergo separate phases of blood coagulation, wound contractions, and tighter shelving of new collagen to resolve the appearance of wrinkles and sagging skin.

Treatment Levels 

At The Clinic, we are a certified Ultraformer partner. We use the Ultraformer III machine, an advanced focused-ultrasound device with several calibrated cartridge depths to elicit multi-layer contraction for facial contouring, wrinkle reduction, and overall skin laxity improvement. 

Level one – Superficial tightening (Best for 20 – 30 years of age)  

This treatment only takes 30 minutes to complete. Using the 2mm cartridge the registered nurse will target the most superficial level of the skin - superficial dermis, to help rejuvenate the face and neck with no down time. 

Level two – Moderate tightening (Best for 30 – 40 years of age)  

This treatment uses a combination of the 2mm cartridge and 3mm cartridge to contract and stimulate your collagen within the deeper dermis. 

Level three – Full face and Neck tightening (Best for 40’s and beyond)  

This is the ultimate skin tightening treatment, using all three Ultraformer cartridges.  This targets the three essential layers of the skin, that being the superficial dermis, followed by the deeper dermis and the SMAS layer. The SMAS layer connects your skin to the deeper structures such as the muscle. 

As we age, the structures that keep the skin strong and youthful start to weaken. This is mostly because collagen and elastin levels start to lessen, which affects the underlying structures.
