Masseter Jaw Treatment

Teeth Grinding

40 mins

Masseter Jaw treatment is used to alleviate involuntary teeth grinding also known as bruxism.  This treatment helps to block the nerve message to the masseter muscle, resulting in the muscle relaxing. Outside of the relief from bruxism, this treatment is also used to help slim and define the jawline.

The treatment experience

  • As Wrinkle Relaxers use a prescription product, we first conduct a medical consent.
  • The nurse will map out the area to be treated by examining your ability to move certain facial muscles.
  • Ice packs are used to numb the treatment area.
  • Area targeted to the muscles which are causing your wrinkles, each to a specific depth and with a specific volume of product.

It's best for

  • Alleviating teeth grinding
  • Helping to slim and define the lower jawline
  • Long-lasting effects

“Very welcoming, professional and friendly team. Make you feel relaxed and have trust in them. Definitely recommend”

Pre and post care

What can I expect after my treatment?

Masseter Jaw treatment works in a single treatment and can last for up to 12 months.

What precautions should I take pre and post?

There is no downtime required for Masseters treatment and you can resume normal activities immediately. However you should avoid the following for 24 hours:

  • Strenuous exercise
  • Consumption of alcohol

It is also recommended to avoid the following for two weeks:

  • Extended exposure to sun or uv light
  • Extended exposure to heat or freezing temperatures

Exposure to any of the above may cause temporary redness, swelling, and/or itching at the treatment area. If you have swelling, you can apply an ice pack for a brief period to help with discomfort.

We always recommend the use of sunscreen to prevent sun damage to the skin. Sunscreen with SPF 30 or above should be used daily. If you are under the sun for prolonged periods of time, sunscreen needs to be reapplied at least once every two hours.
