Previously called the Mandelic Peel, the only peel to contain 20% Mandelic Acid, the PCA Skin Bright & Even Peel is a gentle yet effective Level 1 Face Peel to resurface the skin, resulting in a smoother texture and more even skin tone. Mandelic Acid is an AHA that is effective in treating acne and hyper-pigmentation including melasma.
The treatment experience
Your skin will be prepped with a thorough cleanse. The peel is then applied in layers and allowed to dry for 3 - 5 minutes. The peel is left on and protective after care will be applied to your skin. The whole treatment takes 30 minutes.
It's best for
- Treating and perfecting problem skin concerns, including pigmentation, congestion or breakouts.
- Sensitive and finer skin types who want a stronger treatment.
- Treating the neck and chest where the skin is more delicate than the face.

Pre and post care
Your skin will instantly feel softer and smoother. Depending on your skin type you may also experience peeling or mild flaking for up to 3 days after your treatment. Best results are evident 7 days after treatment.
There are no special requirements for the PCA Skin Mandelic Peel. You can apply makeup, exercise and bathe as usual after your treatment.
We always recommend the use of sunscreen to prevent sun damage to the skin. Sunscreen with SPF 30 or above should be used daily. If you are under the sun for prolonged periods of time, sunscreen needs to be reapplied at least once every two hours.

Depending on your skin type you may experience peeling or mild flaking for up to 3 days after your treatment. Our Nurses will discuss risks and post care in more detail at your appointment.
Your skin will be noticeably clearer after a single treatment. Best results come from 2-3 treatments, 4-6 weeks apart.
You may experience a tingling or tightening sensation in the skin, but no pain.
