Containing Lactic and Salicylic Acid to increase cell turnover, remove dead surface cells and soften the skin, the Benefactor Resurfacing Peel by Cosmedix is an exfoliating Level 1 Face Peel. Packed with antioxidants from cherry, blueberry and pineapple, this peel also helps with ageing, problem, oily and thickened skins.
The treatment experience
We start with a thorough cleanse of the face before applying the Benefactor Peel. The peel stays on for 5-10 minutes to allow the active ingredients to be absorbed into the skin. The peel is then soaked off and a rich moisturiser is applied. The whole treatment takes 30 minutes.

Pre and post care
Softer, brighter-looking skin. The Benefactor Peel is designed to leave you with a clearer complexion and minimal disruption to your day. Best results are typically seen after 48 hours.
Downtime is minimal with the Benefactor Peel and most normal activities can resume the same day. We recommend avoiding strenuous exercise and/or swimming for 24 hours.
We always recommend the use of sunscreen to prevent sun damage to the skin. Sunscreen with SPF 30 or above should be used daily. If you are under the sun for prolonged periods of time, sunscreen needs to be reapplied at least once every two hours.

On a rare occasion, a slight redness may occur which subsides within a few hours.
Due to the ingredients used, this treatment is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Many clients notice smoother, clearer-looking skin after a single treatment, though results can vary. Best results come from a course of 3 treatments, 4-6 weeks apart.
You may experience a tingling or tightening sensation in the skin, but no pain.
