The Deep Sea Peel by Cosmedix is a unique, acid-free Level 3 Face Peel which is designed to deliver rejuvenating results through the physical penetration of marine-based ingredients deep within the epidermis. This stimulates cellular renewal and regeneration to treat pigmentation and ageing.
The treatment experience
Your skin will be prepped with a thorough cleanse and tone. The face is divided into 4 sections and the peel is applied 1 section at a time. Each section is massaged for 1-5 minutes depending on the depth of treatment required. The whole treatment can take up to 45 mins.

Pre and post care
Recovery times after the Deep Sea Peel vary from 4-7 days. During this period, it is normal to experience light redness, heat and/or tingling and sometimes very light peeling. Best results are evident 14 days after treatment. Many clients notice an overall improvement in the tone and texture of their skin, including reduced pigmentation and a smoother, firmer, brighter appearance — though results vary by individual.
Due to the potent nature of the Deep Sea Peel, a consultation with our registered nurse is required to determine if the treatment is suitable for you. Depending on your skin type you may be required to prep your skin with a pigmentation inhibitor or other recommended treatments for up to four weeks prior treatment.
Immediately post treatment your skin will undergo a period of healing and recovery. Your nurse will recommended specific post care products that you will be required to use during this time to aid in recovery and to ensure optimum results.
Sun exposure should be avoided and minimum SPF 30 used daily.

The Deep Sea Peel is extremely effective at stimulating the natural rejuvenation process of the skin, therefore it is recommended to allow 4-7 days downtime following this treatment. During this period, it is normal to experience light sensitivities.

Many clients notice improvement after a single treatment, though results can vary. Depending on your concerns you may require 1-3 treatments at least 4-6 weeks apart.
It’s normal to experience a mild tingling or scrub-like sensation as the peel is massaged into the skin.
Discomfort is minimal.
